The project has required innovative solutions to many challenging structures - all of which were required to be safely carried out at high levels.

Performance

Hünnebeck were chosen to partner with Clugston Construction in the building of a new £110 million, 150,000 tonnes, ‘Waste to Energy’ Facility in North Hykeham, Lincolnshire. The plant is being built on 3.1 hectares of land and includes a dedicated visitor centre. Hünnebeck provided full self-climbing formwork and falsework for the project with a value of up to £1m over the project lifetime. Hünnebeck have given technical sales support and have provided with excellent design solutions to their wide range of time saving products.

On completion the project will treat 150,000 tonnes of residual waste a year in the county and export 11 MW of electricity to the National Grid. It will also have the capability to provide heat to local businesses and the community.

The project has required innovative solutions to many challenging structures - all of which were required to be safely carried out at high levels. To protect site operatives while working at height EXTRAGUARD edge protection product was also supplied by Hünnebeck. Clugston Construction and Hünnebeck share the same uncompromising commitment to providing the safest possible working environment for their operatives. These principles have strengthened the working relationship of the two businesses throughout this demanding major project.
